Title:Nurse RN ID:5550-1173 Department:Outpatient Location:Mineola Description Since 1985, Seafield Center has helped people suffering from drug and alcohol addiction to begin the transforming journey to recovery. From detox and inpatient rehabilitation, to outpatient treatment and sober living recovery homes, we provide those battling addiction with the roadmaps towards healing. We are licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction Services & Supports and accredited by the Joint Commission. MAIN FUNCTION: + To assist in maintaining a highest quality of care to all patients. + To act as health coordinator. + User role(s) information systems access as assigned, where applicable. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Document nursing care in client’s EMR. + Provide Nursing Assessment and consultation to patients. + Maintain records of infection control matters for patients and staff. + Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff. + Track medications/solutions stored at the facility, including destruction/expiration. + Educate patients on HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis, STDs, and other communicable diseases. + Follow universal precautions and infection control measures. + Supervise same-sex urine sample collection for toxicology. + Administer breathalyzer and alcohol swabs. + Attend meetings and in-service lectures. + Inform office manager of office and medical supply needs. + Perform other duties as assigned. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: + Perform Admission Nursing Assessment and make appropriate nursing diagnoses. + Assess client’s psychiatric history and current status. + Administer medications as ordered (MAT programs), and understand basic pharmacology and PPD testing. + Proficient in basic nursing skills, including ECG and blood pressure measurement. + Age-specific clinical skills for adolescent and geriatric clients. + Proficient in computer usage, including EMR, Microsoft Outlook, and other systems. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Current New York State Registered Nurse licensure, CPR certification. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: + Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands, and reach. + Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be required. + Visual acuity needed for accuracy and thoroughness of work. Position will be 10-15 hours per week. Two shifts will be during the day (ex 8:30m-12:30pm or 10am-2pm) and one shift will be evening hours 4pm-8pm. $40 - $42 per hour #SJ2025
