Primary Purpose
Provides direct care in industrial setting performing post-offer physicals, drug and alcohol screenings, First Aid, wellness education and OSHA compliance. Provides leadership and oversight in the medical department as needed. Works in conjunction with the Occupational Health Manager on worker's compensation case management. Exemplifies excellent customer service and builds rapport with employees. Understands unit policies and procedures and can fill in for the Occupational Health Manager when needed. Hours are from 7am-3pm
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Provides exceptional customer service to employees. Ensures that all medical tasks and procedures are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Assists with worker’s compensation management and regulatory compliance programs such as respiratory, bloodborne pathogens (BBP) and hearing screens. Collaborates and communicates effectively with department leaders. Completes annual competencies, continuing education and maintains mandatory certifications such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and licensure. Attends a minimum of one off-site education or conference annually in leadership or area of specialty. Independently seeks professional development. Initiates incident investigations and schedules follow-up visits as needed. Communicates with Safety and management. Assists with projects as delegated by the Occupational Health Manager. Assists with compliance of drug and alcohol testing programs.RN Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure. 2+ years’ nursing experience. Emergency, occupational health, urgent care or other relevant experience preferred. Bilingual (Spanish or Creole) a plus but not required.
LPN Qualifications
Completion of licensed practical/vocational nursing program and current unrestricted LPN license.
