Nurse Shift Manager Discharge Lounge
This leadership position will support the hospital as a throughput coordinator. This will include oversight of the Discharge Lounge, attend bed management meetings that support hospital flow, education and training in the nursing departments focusing on decreasing length of stay, and to liaise with staff members to encourage discharge and facilitate patient throughput.
JobSummary:
Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level.Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them.Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.We offer the following benefits to support you and your family:

Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree in Nursing (e.g., ADN).Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.Licensure:
Current CA RN license and AHA BLSCurrent Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare fieldCompletion of Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) or related field within 3 years of hire
