Night Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7pm-7:30a, and alternating weekends. This position is eligible for our generous shift differentials: Weekend Day (Sat-Sun) $2/hr, Evening (Mon-Thurs) $3.25/hr, Weekend Evening (Fri-Sun) $5.00/hr, Night (Mon-Thurs) $5.00/hr, Weekend Night (Fri-Sun) $7.00/hr. *must work three and a half hours (3.5 hours) into a shift to qualify for shift differential. As a Supervisor you will provide administrative and clinical supervision to all nursing staff throughout the hospital on their assigned shift and acts as a liaison to department directors and administration to insure coordinated and efficient operations of services and departments. The Nurse Supervisor will adjust staffing as necessary for the evening, night, and weekend shifts; will oversee all unit activities including, but not limited to, admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, restraint and/or seclusion and relieving for break or meals. The Nurse Supervisor manages the nursing staff to include all Nurses and Mental Health Technicians working on the unit as part of the nursing team and reports employee performance and/or relations issues to appropriate team members. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including adults and dually diagnosed patients. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred. Three years prior psychiatric nursing experience preferred, prior experience working with specific patient population and prior charge nurse experience preferred. Licensure and registration by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies as a registered nurse required. Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior and crisis management and CPR training.
