Required License/Registration/Certification Registered Nurse (RN) and must advance on UKHC Nursing Professional Advancement (NPA) within 6 months of hire and annual resubmission required throughout employment in this job title. Physical Requirements The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments. Shift Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. May require some holidays. Job Summary The Nurse Team Leader will supervise all nursing staff and other clinical support staff functions in the Markey Cancer Center at Lexington Clinic locations.

Ensuring resources are managed appropriately, as well as ensuring quality patient care, are essential job duties for this position. This includes: initiating actions for resolutions, maintaining nursing standards of care and participating in updating policies and procedures related to cancer care.

In addition, this position will: be responsible for ensuring adequate nursing staff and clinical support staff are available to care for patients, work with staff to develop schedules and coverage plans, and act as a clinical and systems resource for staff. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Basic computer knowledge, MS Windows, Word, Outlook, clinical applications. Supervisory experience, detail oriented.
