Summary

UNIT SUMMARY: Levindale's High Intensity Care Unit, part of our Specialty Hospital, is a fast-paced and exciting place to work. The unit is comprised of 20 semi-private rooms, and can accommodate up to 40 patients. In the HICU, a team approach is taken to provide care for patients, who may require attention for an acute brain injury, need respiratory assistance or special monitoring, or require rehabilitation. HICU staff members are outgoing and positive, and must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms, and develop and implement patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.    JOB SUMMARY: Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, assisting with activities of daily living while maintaining a safe and clean environment. With guidance and oversight of the Registered Nurse, performs duties to support the daily care of the patient .    REQUIREMENTS: Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma: GED equivalent or High School certificate. 1-3 years of experience. GNA or CNA Licensure; American Heart Association CPR Certification; Hospital orientation/training program.
