Butterworth Emergency Department is a very fast paced environment as a Level 1 Trauma Center. We are focused on providing a strong team-based approach to providing excellent care to all patients! Among our 100 patient care spaces, we treat patients with minor illnesses and injuries as well as more serious chronic and acute health concerns. We are one of the busiest ERs in the Nation with approximately 109,000 patient visits annually. Through a commitment to improving our processes, we have outperformed state and national metrics for patient throughput and are in the top 10% of hospitals for this metric.

Scope of work
Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider. Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Ensures that required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
Start Dates:
This role has specific start dates each year, with one start date a month. Any offers must be completed 2 weeks prior to this start date with no exceptions. Upcoming start dates are as follows:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 Days or Hire required
