Astria Health is seeking a Nurse Technician to join our team! This is a Per Diem/Flexible schedule with Day/ Night flex, Minimum availability 2 shifts per month.
What you get to do every day!
As the Nurse Technician you will be responsible for responsible for providing quality, compassionate, patient care and education by performing tasks involving direct patient care under the direction and supervision a registered nurse. You will:
Document patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR) under the guidance of a registered nurse.Monitor vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.Assist registered nurses with direct patient care activities under close supervision.Educate patients on basic healthcare topics and answer their questions according to your training and under the guidance of a registered nurse.Continuously develop your nursing knowledge and skills by actively participating in patient care and seeking opportunities to learn from experienced nurses.Perform delegated nursing tasks such as obtaining intravenous (IV) access for critically ill patients and inserting urinary catheters under the direct supervision of a registered nurseGain familiarity with advanced emergency medicine equipment used in diagnosing and treating patientsContribute to a positive and professional work environment by effectively communicating with patients, families, and healthcare team members.Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization
What you bring to the role:
Certificate of completion of a recognized Nursing Technician Program.Basic Life Support certification.Oral and written fluency in the English language.
