Responsibilities and Duties:
· To work as a member of the nursery team to provide all children with high quality care, to deliver a rich and stimulating play experience which meets each child's individual needs.
· To provide a child-centred environment where children are cared for in a safe, caring and stimulating way.
· Be responsible for ensuring that the children's environment is safe and hygienic, and to report any concerns to the Manager.
· Plan appropriately for children using the EYFS curriculum for guidance.
· To understand the signs of abuse and to report any concerns to the manager to safeguard children.
· To attend Safeguarding training
· Maintain accurate and effective children's records, including planning, observations, record keeping and report writing.
Candidate Requirments
A Childcare and Education qualification equivalent to NVQ 3 or above. (NNEB BTEC).
Experience:
Experience of working with children from 0 - 5 years.
Experience of providing and developing a wide range of both indoor and outdoor play and educational experiences for children in the early years.
Experience of working in partnership with parents/carers.
Experience of working with children with disabilities and special needs.
Experience of making observations, record keeping and planning.
