As a Nursing Department Assistant II in our Nursing Float Unit, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment and making sure supplies are stocked. You will also be maintaining proper equipment function, transporting patients, and running other errands as directed.

Responsibilities:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.Requires basic math skills and ability to read and write.Certifications:
State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification preferred.Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required within new hire period.Complexity of Work:
Demonstrates empathy and interacts with patients, visitors, and all personnel in a courteous, helpful manner; able to resolve conflict in a constructive manner; able to maintain confidentiality regarding patients, families and co-workers; demonstrates respect for individual cultural and social differences.Requires ability to work with minimal supervision.Work Experience:
Previous nursing assistant experience preferred.Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.Requires frequent standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, squatting, bending/stooping and lifting patients.Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
