At Saint Francis Hospital the Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.
What you will do
Collect and report patient information and dataHelp patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulationPatient TransportCollection of specimensDistribution of linens and supplies to patient roomsDeliver ice and beverages to patientsAs assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safetyMinimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experienceProof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is requiredCertification: BLS certification requiredPrevious experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferredAbility to pass drug screening and background checkPosition Highlights and Benefits
