Nursing Assistant- Monitor Technician
Status: Full Time (36 Hours Weekly)
Shift: Days
Job Summary:
The Nursing Assistant/Monitor Technician assists the nursing staff by performing selected nursing procedures and routine duties in caring for patients. All functions must be within the scope of training and instructions received and are under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. He/She will also assist clinical care by recognizing changes in heart rate, heart rhythm, NIBP, and oxygen saturation/ETCO2 readings and communicating those changes to the appropriate clinical personnel. He/She acknowledges responsibility to adhere to clinical alarm safety procedures improving patient outcomes and limiting alarm fatigue. He/She possesses clerical aptitude and abilities, and assists in the coordination of the activities of the unit.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience:
BCLS required within 90 days of hire.
Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
Medical terminology and previous health care experience preferred.
Initial Dysrhythmia course/Dysrhythmia refresher course within 90 days of hire.
