Nursing Assistant / NAR / CNA - On-call positions

Be part of the Saint Therese difference! Come serve our seniors with compassionate and supportive care. We are currently seeking exceptional Nursing Assistants for on-call/casual positions.

On-call schedule includes working a minimum of four shifts per month (two during the week and two weekend), also working one holiday per year. Candidates must have flexibility to work both shift times and prefer availability to pick up shifts on short notice if needed. Shifts times are as follows:

6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.  2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of resident related direct care duties, such as transporting, transferring, toileting, positioning, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming residents, encouraging highest level of independence, validating residents' concerns etc.

Qualifications

Education: Successful completion of a State approved program in compliance with the Nurse Assistant Training Act. Must be registered with the State of Minnesota as a certified nursing assistant in good standing. 

Experience: Minimum of one year previous experience working as a nursing assistant is required.

Special knowledge, skills and abilities:

Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal regulations Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Ability to accurately plan and carry out assignments without direct supervision Proven history of good judgement, integrity and consideration to others Maintained awareness and sensitivity to resident needs, interests, and abilities High level of commitment to compassionate customer service Ability to meet the physical demands of position, including lifting over 50 lbs. while transferring a resident
