• Assists with patient admissions, transfers and discharge.
• Provides ADL care to includes, passing water bed baths, shower, and oral hygiene, changing bed linens both unoccupied and occupied beds, cleaning overhead tables, straightening room snacks and other general care as needed.
• Provides evening care to include: passing water back rub if necessary, bed baths, shower, oral hygiene, changing bed linens both unoccupied and occupied beds, cleaning overhead tables, straightening room evening snacks and other general care as needed.
• Provides general nursing care such as positioning, transfers to chair or stretcher, lifting and turning patients, specialized equipment, bedpan, commode chair and ambulating patients.
• Answers call lights anticipates patient needs makes frequent rounds.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform procedures, ex; glucose monitoring, within the Nursing Assistant’s scope of practice.
• Reports complaints about pain immediately to licensed personnel.
• Observes patients mental and physical conditions, reports changes immediately to licensed personnel.
• Optimizes patient safety.
• Maintains Universal Precautions and follows policies and procedures.
