**All Job Postings will close at 12:01 a.m. CT on the specified Closing Date (if designated).** **Working Title:** Nursing Associate Degree - College Faculty **Institution:** Lake Superior College **Classification Title:** Community College Faculty **Bargaining Unit / Union:** 210: Minnesota State College Faculty **City:** Duluth **FLSA:** Job Exempt **Full Time / Part Time:** Full time **Employment Condition:** Unclassified - Unlimited Academic **Salary Range:** $43,067.00 - $94,542.00 **Job Description** Lake Superior College is hiring two Full-time Nursing Associate Degree college faculty, that report directly to the Dean of Allied Health & Nursing. The instructor is responsible to apply their expertise to develop and deliver courses/programs so that students learn and reach their academic goals. The instructor actively participates in departmental meetings and activities, in student recruitment for their courses/program, and in support of the general development of students and the college. **Responsibilities:** + Associate Degree & Practical Nursing lecture, lab, and clinical instruction during day/evening classes & weekday/weekend schedule as semester schedule requires. + Curriculum and teaching materials development. + Assessment activities at the instructor, course, department, and institutional level. + Participation in program, division and college initiatives through committee work and inter-departmental collaboration. **Minimum Qualifications** + Graduate degree with a major in nursing, or + Bachelor's degree in nursing and a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education. + A nursing program director must hold a graduate degree in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty. **Occupational Experience Requirement:** + Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level. + As a registered nurse at the professional level, experientially qualified to accomplish the mission, goals, and expected student and faculty outcomes; including experiential preparation in the areas the faculty will teach. **Recency Requirement:** + One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years. **Professional Requirement:** + Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with current registration in Minnesota. + **Other Requirement:** Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending on-site clinical teaching assignments. **Preferred Requirements** + Current clinical experience in an acute care hospital **Salary Range:** $49,244 - $71,893 per year ** The above salary range is for initial placement only.
