Job Overview: The School of Nursing and Union County College conduct a cooperative program which grants the students a diploma in Nursing from the School of Nursing and an Associate in Science Degree from Union County College. The School of Nursing is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Nursing Education, Inc. and the New Jersey State Board of Nursing. This position will support our Fort Monmouth Campus in Oceanport, New Jersey. The anticipated hire date is May 2025.

Qualifications:

New Jersey RN License is required MA or MS in Nursing is required; Doctorate preferred Two (2) years of patient care experience is required Two (2) years of nursing education experience required; waived for MSN, Doctorate or Education Degree holders Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or Certified Nurse Educator Clinical (CNE cl) preferred CNE certificate required within 5 years of hire

Essential Functions: Seeking faculty to teach Nursing Fundamentals and similar early education Nursing classes. Responsibilities include clinical and classroom teaching, test and curriculum development, faculty committee support, and student advisement. Continuing education and development to attain or maintain nurse educator competencies are expected. Serves as a role model for professional nursing and adheres to the Faculty Code of Conduct.
