Seven Hills Pediatric Center, a skilled nursing facility in search of a Nursing Home Administrator (NHA).

 

The NHA is responsible for all aspects of  management to ensure quality services and staffing. The NHA is also responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, regulatory compliance, and staff management.

Responsibilities

Role Summary:

Clinical Leadership: Oversee clinical practices within the facility, fostering a supportive environment for interdisciplinary clinical care.Family Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with families to achieve the defined goals for each resident.Staffing Management: Ensure adequate staffing levels across all departments to provide high-quality care.Referral Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with referral sources to maximize nursing home and school census.Budget Oversight: Assist in the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the annual budget.Regulatory Compliance: Lead preparations for regulatory inspections and audits, complete the annual DPH survey, and ensure the facility’s long-term care license remains in good standing.Accreditation: Achieve annual accreditation for the school licensure by complying with Massachusetts DOE regulations and all applicable federal education regulations.Standards Compliance: Ensure all clinical departments adhere to accepted standards of practice and Department of Public Health regulations.Quality Improvement: Direct the Performance Improvement Committee to maintain quality care throughout the facility.Referral Management: Maintain a working relationship with the MA Medical Review Team for resident referrals.Facility Promotion: Promote the facility to acute care providers, school districts, and home care services by establishing positive relationships.Advocacy: Collaborate with other pediatric long-term care facilities in Massachusetts and nationally to advocate for the needs of medically fragile children.Dental Center Oversight: Oversee the operation of the Richard and Susan Smith Family Foundation Dental Center, serve as a liaison with Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and manage contracts with dental staff.

Skills and Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of Department of Public Health regulations for skilled nursing facilities for children.Understanding of Department of Education regulations for special education schools.Familiarity with Department of Development Services for nursing home day habilitation programs.Knowledge of Medicaid, DOE, and DMR reimbursement regulations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. (LNHA) Must be licensed according to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts regulations and must attend continuing education as required.Valid Driver's License Required
