Nursing Home Cook

Ontario Center is actively seeking a Full-Time Cook/Chef for our Skilled Nursing Facility located in Canandaigua, NY.

Shift: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm.

DUTIES:

Preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of foodsBaking a variety of rolls, cookies, cakes, and piesWorking on tray line during meal serviceGeneral cleaning up of the kitchenHand washing and sanitizing of pots and pansOther duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Certification in healthcare cooking (ServSafe or Sodexo) is preferred.Minimum one (1) year of experience in large-scale cookingStrong knowledge of large-scale & therapeutic food prepMust be able to do some physical workShould be a strong team playerHigh School Diploma or EquivalentExcellent customer service & communication skillsWill manage the kitchen in the absence of the food service director
