+ POSITION SUMMARY + Reports To: + Director, Inpatient Nursing + Summary: + Under the guidance/supervision of licensed nursing staff, the Student Nurse Intern will perform functions of a student regarding routine administrative/clinical/patient care tasks as identified in the clinical skills list. + Work Schedule: + Must be able to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays. Must have the ability to float to other nursing units. + SKILLS & ABILITIES + Education + Must be actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have completed at least one (1) clinical semester or hold a current, valid CNA license. + Experience + At least one (1) semester and/or 6 or more credit hours of clinical experience or equivalent in an accredited school of nursing or hold a current CNA license. + Computer Skills + Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility. + Certificates & Licenses + BLS certification; can obtain after hire. + Other Requirements + Ability to multitask in a high stress environment. This position requires frequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, lifting and carrying 0-100 lbs and pushing and pulling 0-100 lbs.
