Aspirus Corporate Office in Wausau, WI is seeking a NURSING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR to join our team!

The Nursing Professional Development Coordinator is an experienced Registered Nurse who leads the nursing orientation program, provides leadership for competency development and evaluation. Is a collaborator with healthcare leaders and educators to provide education for end users where focus on providing high quality, safe and effective care. Utilizes project management skills in the development of programing. Coordinates educational programs. The Nursing Professional Development Coordinator is also responsible for the design, implementation and coordination of manikin simulation training and serves as a Nurse Planner for the Aspirus, Inc. Approved Provider Unit for nursing continuing education program. 

This position would cover the following hospital: Rhinelander, Minocqua, Tomahawk, and Eagle River. It would be preferred that this individual would be housed at ones of these hospitals and then travel to the other locations. If this individual would be housed in Wausau, travel to these other locations would be 5-6 times a month. 

HOURS:  Full Time or 1.00 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of nursing process and workflows normally acquired through completion of a nursing degree program. Bachelor of Nursing degree is highly desired.Knowledge of adult education principles and practices acquired through post-secondary adult education coursework or adult education certification. Certification in Nursing Professional Development desired.Minimum of five years of healthcare related experience. At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Must possess an excellent understanding of clinical practices, principles and workflows.Three years’ experience in nursing staff development required.Experience with organizational change, program development, process improvement techniques and demonstrated progressive leadership experience required. An understanding of clinical business operations desired.Learning Management System application technical build and administrative experience desired.Possesses Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree with an active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN license.
Basic Life Support CertificationDemonstrate ability to be self-motivated and self-directed, apply critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills to complex tasks and projects.Demonstrate ability to perform in a team environment, utilize effective team relationship skills and interact at all levels of the organization. Able to influence and lead teams, strong conflict management skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities required.Possess knowledge of adult learning techniques/methodology, blended learning, training/education practices and principles, and Instructional design methodology.
