Nursing Quality Coordinator
Day to Day:
JOB DESCRIPTION

Contractors must adhere to all Joint Commission Requirements, including but not limited to cultural diversity sensitivity, patient care, patient rights and ethical treatment, safety and security of physical environments, emergency management, teamwork, respect for others, ongoing education and training participation, communication, and adherence to safety and quality programs. They must also maintain compliance with National Patient Safety Goals, and complete licensure and health screenings
Facilitates interdepartmental and intradepartmental communication regarding quality improvement.
Serves as an IP resource on regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes.
Assists IP management in identifying opportunities and interventions for improvement based on internal and external customer needs.
Takes responsibility for professional self-development, ensuring work quality reflects high professional and ethical standards.
Communicates effectively to maintain positive working relationships and achieve desired outcomes.
Considers age-appropriate issues when addressing quality improvement.
Develops, implements, and/or evaluates quality assurance and quality improvement projects/processes to continually monitor and improve patient care.
Participates in or leads work groups on special projects as assigned.
Collaborates to guide and influence the course of change.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES
Policy and procedure experience
Project management experience
Experience working with physician leaders
MS office skills
Knowledge in specialty area of practice
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in assigned work area
