Duties Description Full time position, located at the Community Campus in the 5E Transitional Care department. Schedule based on a 40-hour work week. Monday-Friday, Evening Shift, some holidays required.Depending on experience, a traineeship is required for 26 weeks at SG06 level. Upon satisfactory completion of traineeship, incumbent is promoted to a journeyman title, SG07. Duties include but not limited to: refer incoming calls and messages; greet and assist visitors; record preparation; initiate patient services; process physician and nursing staff orders; and input of patient registration and other relevant information into hospital computer system. Must be able to communicate effectively in order to transfer information, as well as complete a variety of tasks within a given time frame. Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary. Computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology desired.
