Candidates with experience may be brought in at a higher rate of pay. Check out more of our benefits information here: https://www.fairview.org/benefits/localseiu This position will be working 48 hours every two weeks on the rotating day/evening shift, 8 hour shifts, weekends as needed Responsibilities Job Description The PACU Nursing Station Technician is responsible for assisting the nurse in the delivery of adult and pediatric care for patients before and after surgery. Other job duties include: Providing assistance to patients, visitors and providers, answering the telephone, prepping patient charts and maintaining the patient care unit main desk area Transporting patients and/or equipment Setting up, cleaning and maintaining patient rooms, cleaning equipment Ordering and stocking of supplies Qualifications Required License/Certification/Registration Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required. Ontrack participants are required to obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program AND ONE or more of the following: Successful completion of Fairview’s OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview sponsored Nursing Assistant program. OR Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting. (Appropriate roles may include, Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant or Emergency Room Technician) OR Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program OR Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire.
