Summary: Performs fundamental nursing care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse; develops confidence and competence in clinical skills to facilitate transition into the role of the registered nurse after graduation; works within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients; serves as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care while adhering to all policies and procedures of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

This is a temporary non-benefitted position. The hourly pay range is $18.15 - $23.46 per hour.

The Nursing Student Intern will work up to full time hours (37.5 weekly) over their winter break December 2024 through January 2025. Once school resumes, they will drop down to work per diem hours.

Qualifications:Required Education and Experience

Certification Requirement
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Education and Experience
Matriculation with at least one (1) year in an approved Nursing degree program and completion of two (2) semesters of clinical experience.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
