MercyOne provides financial support while you finish your post-secondary education and a job after graduation.
Here's how it works:
Earn a monthly stipend while you finish school, up to 9 months for RNs and 4 months for LPNs.
MercyOne will reimburse your board and licensure fees.
Once you have your licensure, start your career with MercyOne (18-month retention requirement).
New hires are eligible to receive hiring incentives.
Position Purpose
MercyOne will invest in the training of Student by paying a monthly stipend toward applicable certification, board, and/or and license fees (“Stipend”). The amount and duration of the Stipend depends on the position sought by Student (refer to agreement). The availability of the Stipend at a particular MercyOne ministry depends on that ministry’s local market and vacancy rate in any given department or position.

Maintains confidentiality of information pertaining to clients, physicians, employees, and MercyOne business. Is knowledgeable of and actively participates in improving patient safety and reducing risk to patients.
Complies with Safety and Infection Control Policies and Procedures. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
Minimum Qualifications
Active student in good standing in nursing program in senior year.
Accepts terms of MercyOne Jumpstart Program and Conditional Repayment Agreement.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills, advanced analytical skills, be well organized and maintain a highly professional manner and appearance.
Strong interpersonal, consultative and relationship building skills to initiate and develop productive collaborative partnership with all levels of leadership across the organization. Ability to effectively influence results, garner support and tactfully manage complex relationships within and across the organization. Extremely high level of diplomacy and tact are required. Ability to read the subtle nuances of situation and react/plan accordingly.
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

MercyOne Western Iowa serves the needs of individuals in a 33-county area including western Iowa, eastern Nebraska and southeastern South Dakota.
