Nursing Student Summer Extern - 4E General Medical Unit

Position Highlights:

Position: Nursing Student Summer Extern - General Medical UnitHourly Pay: This is a “flat rate” role and the amount is $18.45Location: Arlington Heights, ILFull time/Part time: Per DiemHours: Varied shifts, Must be able to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, Some weekend time required.Required Travel: No


What you will do:

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.Take vital signs and record patient information accurately in the electronic health record system.Assist in patient mobility and transportation within the facility.Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition to the nursing team.Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.

What you will need:

The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of high schoolCompletion of an accredited CNA course and the successful completion of the CNA certification exam, EMT or paramedics training course, or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with the completion of at least one major clinical medical or surgical rotation requiredCurrent CPR certification from the American Heart Association
