We are seeking to hire a Nursing Supervisor for our Emergency Department for our Level II trauma center in Boise! This position will be located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd.
Our Boise Emergency Department has 34 beds to serve patients of all ages. As the most advanced trauma center in the region, we're equipped to treat the most critically injured patients. Our colleagues float between the Boise Emergency Department and the Eagle Health Plaza Emergency Department creating a highly collaborative environment.
Our ideal candidate has the ability to make decisions and take action in stressful situations, while providing outstanding customer service. He or she needs to have excellent communication skills and must be a team player in addition to be able to effectively manage change.
This position is responsible for ensuring high quality, cost-effective nursing and related services to patients, physicians, and appropriate customer groups. This role functions as a clinical expert within the Emergency Department and assists the unit Manager in the management of the unit including quality improvement activities; interacts with patients and staff on an ongoing basis.
General Requirements:
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of nursing leadership and supervision as normally obtained through a bachelor’s degree in nursing AND three years of RN experience in acute care or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate would need to be available days, evenings and possible weekend coverage.
License/Certification:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Idaho
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Oregon within 6 months of hire
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 12 months of hire
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 12 months of hire
