Nurse SupervisorThe Nursing Supervisor is responsible for collaborating with the Director of Nursing in developing, planning, implementing, and managing all aspects of the nursing department. The Nursing Supervisor is to ensure all nursing services are delivered in accordance with established standards and regulations in compliance with license and credentialing requirements. The Nursing supervisor is expected to assist with the management of nursing staff. Works with multi-disciplinary departments to ensure and facilitate compliance with all Quality Assurance and Improvement standards and parameters. Will provide support to the Director of Nursing, as well as leadership and guidance to nursing staff and providers to optimize and accomplish organizational goals. Essential Job Functions:Supervision of nursing department staff including the Licensed Nurses, Licensed Nursing Assistants, Residential Technicians, and Medical Recovery Support Specialist. Assists in the initiation and the development of policies and procedures that govern nursing services. Collaborates with other departments and agencies regarding resources and services for improved patient care and staff development. Participates in facility meetings as indicated and required. Responsible for working with the Director of Nursing on staff performance, staff recruitment, staff retention and staff development for all nursing department personnel. Serves as a key member of the facility’s core management team. Helps maintain nursing staffing levels within the facility on all shifts to ensure quality patient care. Provides on-call support on weekends, holidays, and after hours when designated. Assesses the quality of care rendered and make improvements in coordination with the Director of Nursing when necessary. Makes independent decisions to ensure effective integration of nursing services into overall treatment center operations. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum age requirement of 18 Two years of nursing experience (required) Licensure/Certification: Holds and maintains current Registered Nurse licensure per state requirements Detox experience or knowledge of addictions and mental health complications preferred Seasoned leadership and management skills required Must be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment in which attention to detail and audit-trail documentation must be maintained.
