**Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor– Full-Time Nights – Labor and Delivery (L&D)** **Unit for Texas Health HEB**
**Work location:** Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022
**Work hours:** Full-time, Night Shift (will work some day shifts in the office), 36 hours weekly, 2-12 hours shifts, 6:30 pm – 6:30 am and 1 office shift **–** Will need to be flexible on hours
**L&D Department highlights:**
+ Work environment: The Siratt Women's Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital has a full-time opportunity for an experienced Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN Supervisor.
+ 9 bed L&D unit and 4 bed OB ED, 3 OR suites unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month
+ Level II NICU
+ Maternal Designation III
+ Wide range of patients and plan of care – nitrous oxide, midwifery, and high-risk patients

**Here’s What You Need**
+ Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
+ RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
+ BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
+ ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of hire
+ NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
+ NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
+ CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days required
+ 2 Years experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) required
+ 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
**What You Will Do**
+ Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
+ Collaborates with Leadership, UBC, and appropriate team members to establish, implement, and monitor department policies/procedures, facilitate unit goals, evaluate and individualize patient care and provide direction to staff to promote quality outcomes.
+ Basic computer skills - computerized charting - use EPIC/Care Connect preferred Critical thinking skills.
+ Good verbal and written communication skills and service excellence skills are also essential attributes for this position.
+ Triage, labor, deliver, circulate, recover and monitor patients are preferred skills.
+ Monitors key performance indicators (KPI's) and regulatory requirements for compliance.
+ Provides bedside leadership and clinical expertise to improve quality of patient care.
+ Responsible for assisting the manager/director with human resource management to include evaluations, coaching, mentoring, recruitment, retention, education and orientation.
