The Nursing Technician performs, under the supervision or direction of a Registered Nurse, those duties to assist in safe treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures Job Details Responsibilities: Assists with admission of patients re: reception, equipment preparation, vital signs, obtaining actual weights, orientation to surroundings and implementation of safety measures Performs direct care with attention to personal hygiene, safety, comfort and skin care while anticipating the needs of the patient and family. Performs oxygen equipment preparation, phlebotomy, 12 lead EKG, Arrhythmia interpretation Responsible to prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding as directed. Distributes water and other nourishments as directed. Assists and/or transports patients in a timely and safe manner. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of NA program, BOCES, Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent, or completion of medical/surgical experience within an RN program Current BLS certification Salary Range USD $23.97 - USD $29.97 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
