NURSING UNIT MANAGER DYP
Job Summary JOB SUMMARY The Nurse Unit Manager at St. Mary's d'Youville Pavilion is responsible for managing the administration and clinical operations of a patient/resident care unit. They will be responsible for the supervision of all unit staff, including: nurses, nursing assistants, support staff and unit secretaries. They will plan, organize, coordinate, evaluate and control all human and material resources of the unit. He/She will be required to be able to provide direct patient care. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: + Associates Degree in Nursing required, Bachelors preferred + Valid State of Maine RN license required + BLS certification required Experience: + Minimum of 3 years clinical experience required + Previous management experience + Acute, Long Term Care or Skilled care experience preferred + MDS and Care Planning knowledge preferred Other Skills Required + Demonstrated leadership skills required + Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills required + Knowledge of special development and physical needs of adults and geriatric patients/residents + The ability to promote teamwork throughout the unit. + Organized and detail oriented + Covenant Health Mission Statement We are a Catholic health ministry, providing healing and care for the whole person, in service to all in our communities.
