Position Summary

The Nutrition Assistant is a collaborative opportunity on our Nutrition Services team. In this role, you will ensure MultiCare patients, families and visitors have the best possible nutritional health care experiences.

Responsibilities

You will collaborate as a team member with Nursing staff, Doctors, Clinical Dietitians, Dietetic Technicians, and other department staff to provide optimal nutrition care for patientsYou will perform a variety of consistent and routine functions from processing meals, menu modification to tray accuracyYou will provide outstanding customer service in support of our organizational values while serving a diverse population

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalentTwo-year degree in Nutrition preferredCurrent Washington State Food Handlers Card within seven (7) days of hireMinimum one (1) year food service experienceMinimum one (1) year of experience in a direct patient care setting preferredMinimum six (6) months experience in a customer service-oriented position preferredWashington State Food Handler's Card

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $20.42 - $31.07 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
