**Responsibilities**
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Food Safety and Standards Compliance**
+ Adhere to healthcare food service industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.
+ Monitor and maintain proper food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage.
+ Prevent cross-contamination and follow personal hygiene requirements.
+ Ensure proper labeling of food products.
+ Safely store food equipment and machinery in accordance with regulations and facility guidelines.
**2. Food Preparation and Service**
+ Prepare and serve food according to the menu and dietary requirements using necessary kitchen utensils and equipment.
+ Maintain knowledge of recipe ingredients to address food allergy inquiries or requests.
**3. Quality Customer Experience**
+ Follow organizational standards to provide a high-quality experience for patients and customers.
+ Ensure proper meal portioning and aesthetically pleasing presentation of food.
**4. Additional Duties**
+ May perform one or more of the following tasks:
+ Cashiering
+ Serving in the retail area
+ Assembling, delivering, and retrieving patient trays
+ Performing cold food preparation
+ Performing utility tasks (e.g., dishwashing, washing pots & pans, maintaining equipment)
+ Catering functions, including delivering and picking up catered food
+ Assisting with inventory maintenance
+ Performing general cleaning duties, including cleaning work areas, equipment, coolers, and trash disposal.
**Qualifications**
**Experience**
+ No experience necessary. Training will be provided.
**Education**
+ High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Licensure**
+ Current ServSafe® Allergen and Food Handler Certifications (within the past 12 months).
+ If not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
**Pay Range**
$15.00 - $21.47 /hour
