Position Summary:
Perform a variety of clerical duties in support of nutritional care and patient food service area. Ensure adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.
Detailed responsibilities:
* MENUS - Correct menus according to diet plan, tally menus and prepare food production guide
* COMPLIANCE - Adhere and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards, JCAHO and other regulatory agency requirements
* RECORDS - Maintain and prepare various patient records to include labels, cardexes and menus; record diet changes and update changes accordingly
* PATIENT TRAYS - Prepare and distribute menus; deliver patient formulas and trays according to schedule
* INVENTORY - Stock a variety of materials and supplies to ensure adequate inventory; order supplies as needed
* COMPUTER AND PHONES - Operate computer to retrieve information; answer phone calls related to patient nutrition care taking appropriate action
* INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS - Establish and maintain effective interpersonal business relationships with patients, visitors, physicians and all Hospitals personnel
* TRAYS - Check patient trays for accuracy
* RELATED WORK - Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
