Overview Fairview is looking for a Nutrition Services Aide on the Ridges Campus in Burnsville, Minnesota. This is a casual position. This position is responsible for preparing food portions, assembles and disassembles patient trays in a safe manner, serves customers, delivers and retrieves patient trays. This is an entry level position where you will be able to acquire experience and knowledge in a fast-paced team environment where customer service and food service skills are appreciated. Nutrition Services staff directly influences the patient, guest, and staff experience by preparing and serving the food that sustains everyone through their healing or their work. There is great opportunity to engage directly with patients and/or staff, and an opportunity to work together on a team of engaged employees. There are day, evening and night shifts available where there are casual positions with no guaranteed hours all the way up to full time hours. Responsibilities Job Description About This Position: Ideas of what to include (short list of bullet points): The position reports to three department managers. Approximately 50 employees in the department Benefits included for positions with 48 hours per pay period or above. 150 bed hospital Prepares and portions correct amount of food as determined by tally. Plates and serves food Handles and stores food in a safe manner following HACCP standard operating procedures. Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedures. Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils. Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served. Works as a team to ensure proper cleaning procedures are used to sanitize dirty dishes. Frequently grabs soiled utility carts from various floors in the building and cleans all items as needed. Records data and logs it using daily operations paperwork provided to ensure proper temps are in place. Hours for this role: this position is casual / as needed if picking up for other areas in the department.
