FTE: 1.0, Shift: Evening, Schedule: 5 days a week, variable start time, rotate every 4th weekend

Position Summary

The Supervisor – Food Operations supervises personnel engaged in preparation, cooking and serving of a variety of foods to assure all regulatory and governing standards are met, and quality, service and appearance of food displays. The incumbent estimates food consumption and requisitions food items; maintains pre and post costing records for menus; oversees receiving processes; examines food and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications; selects and develops recipes based on type of food to be prepared; portions cooked foods, or gives instructions to workers as to size of portions and methods of garnishing and assists the Chef in the development and planning of creative menus.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree A combination of post high-school education and 6 years of recent relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree requirement, with HR Compensation approval and provided the individual commits to pursuing and completing the degree within a specified time frame Certified as a Dietary Manager (CDM) or equivalent experience and training Five years previous food service experience in a restaurant, hotel or hospital Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisory role One year lead or supervisory experience preferred Serve-safe certification

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $57,949.00 - $83,366.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
