NVH Engineer

Develop full vehicle sound package systems that meet vehicle airborne sensitivity targets, and are optimized for NVH performance, cost, and weight.

What you’ll need...

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or related field of studyProficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Experience with 3D CAD systems (3DExperience or Teamcenter Visualization preferred)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Highly motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.

Desired Skills: 

Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or related field of studyFamiliarity with acoustic NVH materials (absorbers, blockers, mastic, etc.) 3+ years of automotive industry experience with NVH and vehicle sound package development2+ years of experience with SEA modeling of sound package contentGoogle Cloud Platform experience and certifications are an advantage.

What you'll do...

Lead Vehicle NVH airborne sensitivity sound package development, CAE analysis, design verification, and issue resolution through all phases of a program.Develop full vehicle sound package systems that meet vehicle airborne sensitivity targets, and are optimized for NVH performance, cost, and weight. Build and utilize full-vehicle SEA/ray-tracing/BEM models to objectively evaluate sound package content and transfer function performance.Work closely with Design & Release team, Suppliers, Cross-Attribute NVH engineers (powertrain, road noise, wind noise, etc.), CAE analytical team, and Program teams to design and implement sound package into vehicles.Create test plans and work with component-level and vehicle-level airborne sensitivity labs to prepare and execute tests.Analyze and summarize data to report out results and recommended next steps in technical reviews.Hybrid work schedule, but time in the office will be required.
