**General Laborer/O&M Technician** **Pay $25-$30 p/hr** ***Hiring Immediately*** **Job Description** We are seeking a motivated and reliable General Laborer/O&M Technician for a long-term opportunity at a renewable energy plant. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the facility. **Responsibilities** + Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of renewable energy systems including pumps and motors. + Perform general site cleanup and maintenance, including waste disposal and recycling. + Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and efficiently. + Support skilled tradespeople (electricians, technicians) with various tasks as needed. + Load and unload materials and equipment. + Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. + Report any issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly. + Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge. **Essential Skills** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Previous experience in a laborer or construction role is preferred. + Basic understanding of renewable energy systems is a plus. + Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects. + Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. + Good communication and teamwork skills. + Willingness to work in various weather conditions. + Ability to proficiently use power and hand tools. + Must be able to read a tape measure. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + General labor experience. + Production and maintenance skills. + Construction experience. + Welding skills. + Experience with solar energy systems. + Forklift operation. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a long-term opportunity in an emerging industry with advanced technology. The manure from the cows is converted to biogas (methane anaerobic digestion). Employees will not be dealing directly with the manure but must be comfortable with the smell. The schedule is Thursday - Sunday, 7 AM - 7 PM (48+ hours per week). **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract-to-Hire position based out of Cherryville, North Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
