Job Summary

The Instructor Ramp Services provides safety, security and procedural training for airport ramp service agents with regard to ground handling ramp services.  This would include both initial and recurrent and, on-the-job, practical training requirements. Monitors training records. Instructs personnel on new procedures, WFS, and government safety and security policies, regulations, and directives, and conducts local audits.

Update local training manuals and SOP's as required.  Responsibilities for this position may also include computer data entry; preparation or oversight of flight documents; interfaces with Transportation Safety Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, local airport authority, and U.S. Customs & Border Patrol, U.S. Customs; monitoring of flight and passenger documentation and compliance of passenger processing procedures with applicable air carrier and Department of Transportation regulations. The successful candidate will be based at their station, however, the primary job function will be to support training efforts—reports to local station management with dotted line reporting to the corporate training team.

Responsibilities Current working knowledge of computer system. Comply with WFS security program. Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance to managers or via the WFS reporting program. Minimum Requirements Must be knowledgeable and compliant with WFS training policies and processes​​​​​​. 2 years of ramp operational experience. Knowledge and experience with aircraft ground movement, ground service equipment, and deicing operations. Must possess leadership qualities. Requires strong oral and written communications skills, and excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.  10% travel Preferred Skills Ability to speak clearly and be understood. Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language. Work with little or no supervision. Reports to work on a regular and timely basis. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Must be able to perform the following functions in variable weather and environmental conditions Work in a high noise level environment. Work in restricted spaces as necessary to demonstrate job functions. Push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, turn, reach, crawl, or grip as necessary to demonstrate job functions and operate required equipment.
