OB/GYN APP Fellowship Program Director

The role will be responsible for developing an educational curriculum and programming for our OB/GYN APP Fellowship program. This position will split time between between the APP Fellowship program and clinical work as an APP on our OB/GYN team. Ieal candidate will have 2+ years experience as an NP or PA, as well as 2+ years experience of educational leadership experience. Our Physician Assistants (PA) and Nurse Practitioners (NP) are an integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academic health care system. Some highlights of joining the Emory Healthcare team: + Highly competitive base salary. + This role is eligible to participate in our annual APP Incentive Plan. + Student Loan Repayment Assistance & Reimbursement Programs. + Paid Parental Leave benefit available to all qualified employees. + Family-focused benefits. + Wellness incentives. + Healthcare benefits available on Day 1. **Description** **Job Responsibilities:** + Develop an educational curriculum including didactics, clinical rotations, mentorship program and clinical simulation. + Develop an evaluation method to review Fellows clinical performance and review appropriateness of clinical rotations and preceptors. + Identify, council and/or provide remediation for Fellows. + Perform and document a formal, systematic annual program evaluation of the educational curriculum that includes a review of Fellows performance, faculty development, and program quality including a confidential, written evaluation of the program by APP Fellows and faculty Program Operations/Administration. + Oversee and ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education. + Coordinate and participate in the screening and interview process for program candidates. + Manage clinical scheduling and preceptor availability. + In coordination with the Program administrator develop and document a formal budget for the program. + Develop and oversee a process to evaluate faculty prior to approval as program faculty members for participation in the fellowship program education. + Responsible for approving program faculty members for participation in the fellowship program education at all sites. **Minimum Qualifications:** + A minimum of 3 years clinical experience. + A minimum of 2 years educational leadership experience and/or membership on education committees and teams. + In good standing with clinical team and upholding clinical responsibilities. + Yearly evaluations should all be in good standing with Emory Healthcare. + Educational Level: Masters Degree or higher. + Licensure: Current Georgia licensure as a Physician Assistant/Associate or Advanced Practiced Registered Nurse. + Certifications: Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). + BLS required, as well as ACLS may be required in some areas. **Additional Details** **Supporting a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture.** Emory Healthcare (EHC) is dedicated to providing equal opportunities and access to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, ethnic or national origin, gender, genetic information, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and/or veteran's status.
