OB Technician - Labor & Delivery - Days

A Brief Overview:
Under general supervision of a Registered Nurse and according to established procedures, performs multiple patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for care, comfort and safety of patients. Assists surgical team preparing for, during and after surgery. Prepares operating room for surgery. Acts as scrub person during surgery by performing a combination of tasks as directed by the surgical team.

Position Highlights:

Hourly Pay Range: $17 - 37.29. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Location: Naperville, IL

Full Time - 36 hours

Hours: Days 7 am - 7 pm, rotating weekends and rotating holidays

What you will need:

High School diploma or GED requiredCurrent CPR certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredCertificate from an accredited nursing assistant training course (CNA) or minimum six  months of previous patient care experience or completion of one nursing clinical rotationExperience as an OB tech or similar surgical experience highly preferredSuccessful completion of the OB Technician’s Scrub Class, offered by the OB departmentExcellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directionsRequired to attend in depth orientation regarding patient care skill tasks
