BASICALLY NEED A OBIEE BA NOT A DEVELOPER WHO HAS WORKED WITH PROCUREMENT!!!!!!!
Description:
is in the process of developing and deploying a second phase of Oracle Business Intelligence(BI) for reporting from our Procurement modules (Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier HUB / Supplier Life Cycle Management, Procurement, iSupplier Portal all in R12), including financial ‘cash out the door’ input from our Oracle AP module. As such we are seeking a strong candidate as a OBIEE Business Analyst with both Procurement reporting experience with the Oracle BI tool set, as well as a good understanding of the technical needs for doing such implementation.
The optimum candidate will work in Boston within the Procurement group five business days a week with both our business and IT technical teams for the development and documenting of the requirements for meeting the business reporting needs within Oracle BI. The initial step will be understanding and documenting the business needs and then defining the optimum (from both a timeline and cost to develop / implement) means for utilizing the existing ‘out of the box Procurement reports’ from Oracle BI for successfully addressing clients business needs. This will be for both operational reporting as well as management reporting.
The expectations from the optimum candidate for this assignment would be:
• Initial requirements gathering, functional design, use-case driven methodology (excellent communication, facilitation, documentation and interviewing skills required)
• Understanding of data sources and capture business rule definitions that drive the key measures for both operational and management reporting
• Research and guide BI presentation approaches
• Implement both operational and management reports and dashboards
• Configure the OBI Client data application subject areas with drill down and analytical workflows
• Develop and document testing strategies and scenarios
• Content, security, delivery and functionality:
• Data gap analysis and customization requirements (if necessary)
• Dashboard customization analysis and requirements (data, calculation rules, and layout) for each
• Security and access requirements in alignment with Oracle Procurement security
• Dashboard/Report scheduling and distribution requirements
• Implementation Plan, Task assignment and Progress tracking:
• Primary contributor to a detailed project plan (by group, individual, tasks, pre-req’s, co-req’s, etc.) describing the tasks necessary to develop, test, deploy, and train-for-support all aspects of the application
• Ongoing project plan tracking and adjustments
• Prioritized issues lists with steps for resolution outlined
• Dashboard layout, guided navigation, prompts, list of reports by dashboard
• High level test plan defining the functionality to validate for testing and validating the developed solution
• MUDE (Multi Development Environment) best practices, implementation plan, release management and deployment best practices
• Research and scope for utilizing the ‘pay date / amount’ rather than the ‘invoice date / amount’ for Procurement reporting
• Define, from their actual industry experience, and demonstrate the ‘out of the box’ reports they recommend as the most beneficial for the business to meet their objectives for each of the Procurement modules
• Mentoring and knowledge transfer to teams
