We are currently seeking an experienced Obsolescence Engineer in support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). The position will serve as an Electrical Engineer supporting the assigned office, focusing on obsolescence identification, mitigation, and management. They will provide high-level technical expertise and collaborate with program leadership, vehicle OEM contractors, and other stakeholders to address and resolve engineering challenges. The role involves coordinating program activities and preparing executive-level briefings and assessments, ensuring alignment with program objectives and requirements. ResponsibilitiesAddress obsolescence identification, mitigation, and management. Collaborate with vehicle OEM contractors to track and mitigate obsolescence issues. Coordinate program-related activities across internal functional areas and with external organizations such as TRADOC, ATEC, RDECOM, and other stakeholders. Provide assessments of OEM contractor plans and designs to ensure alignment with program objectives. Review and evaluate electrical design decisions, including trade-space recommendations and configuration management activities. Support the development of Statements of Work (SoW), Work Directives (WD), System/Subsystem Requirements Specifications, and other contract/system engineering documents. Monitor obsolescence tracking databases to identify and communicate parts going obsolete. QualificationsSecret Security Clearance A Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or general Engineering from a college or university.  A minimum total of five years experience in analysis, development, evaluation, integration, or test of DoD or industry systems and experience in one or more of the following is required:                Engineering knowledge and experience in the development and sustainment of Ground Combat Systems throughout the acquisition lifecycle including requirements generation, authoring scopes of work and deliverables, systems development, integration and test, production and fielding, technical planning and risk management processes.  Experience of ground combat system key electronics units, enabling technologies and associated obsolescence mitigations approaches.   Experience in the domains of vehicle electronics, power management, data bus and radio communications.Additional Information
