About Lakeland Hospitals 

The health system comprises three hospitals, a regional cancer center, rehabilitation centers, two long-term care residences, home care and hospice services, and 34 affiliate physician practice locations. We provide both inpatient and outpatient medical services throughout Southwest Michigan.  

Scope of work 

Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Performs basic skills per hospital/unit guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Is responsible for preparing the obstetrical/gynecologic suite, handling obstetrical/gynecologic instruments intraoperatively and maintaining a sterile field for obstetrical/gynecologic procedures. Evaluates changing conditions during the obstetrical/gynecologic procedures and makes appropriate responses to them. 

 Qualifications

Required High School Diploma or equivalent.1 year of relevant experience in recent, relevant patient care RequiredPrevious experience with opening sterile supplies/instrument handling/autoclaving, etc. PreferredCRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required OrCRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days requiredCRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants Upon Hire preferred OrCRT-Medical Assistant, Registered (RMA) - AMT American Medical Technologists Upon Hire preferred OrCRT-Nursing Assistant - PROMETRIC Prometric Upon Hire preferred OrCRT-Clinical Hemodialysis Technologist, Certified (CCHT) - NNCC Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission Upon Hire preferred
