The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and to provide direct care to the newborn, assuring all aspects of maternal childcare.

Responsibilities:

Performing assessments, monitoring process of labor, preparing for C-sections, inductions, and proper documentation of nursing careAdminister care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum including infant care and providing patient educationPrepares delivery room, provides emotional support, and coordinates transfersAdminister IV medications, adhere to principles of infection control and general policies of OB department
