The Health Science Center hosts:
An established occupational health clinic that is a member of the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics (AOEC) and that offers a broad range of occupational health services to workers, employers, and other clients from across the region as well as professional physician services at selected plant-based facilities; One of only two ACGME-accredited occupational medicine residency programs in Texas and U.S. Public Health Region 6, and is partially supported through a NIOSH Training Project Grant as well as CMMS capped GME positions; A newly established public health/general preventive medicine residency in a sister Department of Preventive Medicine and Population Health; A robust portfolio of grants, contracts, and research initiatives in related occupational, environmental, and public health disciplines (e.g., occupational respiratory diseases).This includes the NIOSH-supported Southwest Center for Agricultural Health, Injury Prevention, and Education.
Minimum Requirements:
ABPM board certified or eligible in occupational & environmental medicine Experienced and graduating Occupational Medicine physicians are encouraged to apply!
