We are commercially focussed but ensure that this is led by an ethos of delivering excellent service which provides our guests with wonderful memories of their time with us.Standards, be they operational, health & safety or otherwise, are important to us, as is our ongoing commitment to nurture the forest environment within which we operate.OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE Circa 40,290 per annum, pro rataThis is a fixed-term role until 28th August 2025We are looking for an experienced Nurse to join our on-site First Aid and Occupational Health Centre, caring for both our guests and a 1,500 strong workforce.Reporting to the Nurse Manager, and working alongside a team of Occupational Health Nurses, First Aid and Emergency Technicians and an Administrator, you will provide a proactive Occupational Health service to our colleagues on village. You will be responsible for planning and implementing an Occupational Health service to comply with regulatory Health Surveillance requirements and positively influencing our colleague wellbeing and support in managing work related health issues.You will also be required to provide emergency first aid and minor medical treatment to guests and colleagues, as necessary.Responsibilities will include:Carrying out Health Surveillance screening specific to varied roles within our teamsFitness for work, phased return to work and pre-employment screeningDelivering immunisation programmesDelivering health promotion and wellbeing activitiesWorking in conjunction with the Occupational Health team and HR to deliver mental health strategy for colleaguesAttending, with the First Aid and Emergency Technician, guest or colleague medical emergencies to provide appropriate triage, assessment and referral to onward carePlease note you will be expected to cover for the First Aid and Emergency Technicians where circumstances require it. Appropriate training will be provided.Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) with Child and Adult List Barring Check.This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.HOURS OF WORKYou will be contracted to work 144 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis- usual shifts fall between 8:30am-5:00pm including weekend work, however flexibility is required for occasional later shifts until 9pm. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.ABOUT YOUEssential requirementsCurrent registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a NurseFull UK driving licence held for a minimum of 6 monthsQualification in AED / BLS / Anaphylaxis useAbility to work under pressure, prioritise workload and make decisions in a calm and considered mannerExceptional verbal and written communication skills at all levelsCompetent user of Microsoft and other IT softwareAn excellent and confident communicator with exceptional people skills in high-pressure situationsTeam player, but also confident to provide service as a lone workerDesirable requirementsOccupational Health experienceFirst Response Emergency Care Level 3 trainingImmunisation trainingFirst aid at work training and or attendance at Minor Injury courseAudiometry trainingTrained to fit FFP3 MasksMental Health First AiderABOUT THE BENEFITSCenter Parcs is a fantastic place to work and the benefits are as impressive as they are unique.
