Occupational Health Nurse - LPN or RN

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.

Will work under the direct supervision of the Emp/Occ Health Clinic Supervisor. 

Assess the needs of patients based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination and analysis of diagnostic/screening data. 

Evaluate and treat injuries and illness in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of nursing practice. 

Provide required physical evaluations and services to meet regulatory requirements such as OSHA, DOT and CDC. 

Assist departments with identifying, evaluating and implementing accommodations and return options to workers with restricted duty.  

Must be detail oriented, have ability to multitask and possess great interpersonal skills.  Travel to other company locations may be required.  

 

Work Schedule: PRN, as needed. Will work Loris and/or Little River locations.

 

Basic functions/responsibilities:  

Support daily operations and overall performance of the Occupational Health clinic including patient care, services and related duties.  Perform appropriate assessments and interventions in accordance with the provider’s plan of care.

 

Qualifications /Training: 

2-5 years Occupational Health experience  preferred

 

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education: 

Current South Carolina Registered Nurse  or LPN license
