The Occupational Health Nurse works under close supervision and supports Physicians and managers by assisting in administering treatments, physical examinations, initial injury intake and triage, and diagnostic tests. They perform basic medical care functions with diligence and consistency, adhering to schedules. Additionally, the role assists in the administration of company policies and procedures related to maintaining the medical recordkeeping system, including employee health records, medical leave of absence, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with relevant Federal and State regulations, as well as Ford Company standards and policies.

What you'll do...
Provide health services and administer surveillance evaluations to company employees, recording observations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with company policy. Perform routine nursing tasks associated with medical screenings, tests, and clinical procedures. Collect appropriates samples and specimens from patients, and perform hearing and vision screening following clinical protocols. Monitor patient vitals, behaviors, and assists in medical emergencies that may occur on company premises such as accidents, injuries, sudden illnesses, etc. Follow established policies and procedures, identify roadblocks, and effectively communicate issues to the medical team’s attention. Provide patient-centered care with empathy, kindness, and professionalism. Communicate health screening results, communicate physical rehabilitation programs information to patients requiring treatment, and assist with medication administration while managing medication protocols. Maintain accurate and confidential records, ensuring compliance with regulatory developments and infection control protocols. Support emergency procedures preparation and adherence to infection control practices. Maintain an understanding of all relevant regulatory developments defining patient privacy and medical record confidentiality, infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, accreditation Standards, etc.
