This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
The Occupational Health Registered Nurse – 2nd shift (part time) will perform occupational health care activities. In this role, you will provide health and wellness training and education, employee health services and compliance. You will be licensed to practice in your province of employment.
Key AccountabilitiesUsing technical knowledge and training, assist in designing and executing employee health and wellness programs.Conduct training and administer surveillance testing for established compliance programsTreat, evaluate and assess employee illness or injury and determine medical direction.Develop, formulate and implement plans of care based on stand order and medical directives.Help determine what employees can do under restrictive duty, when they can return to work and when to refer them to an outside medical provider.Creating, maintaining and supporting record keeping in accordance with relevant regulations.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experienceRegistered Nurse license or equivalent in other geographiesAdvanced health care provider CPR certificationPossess a valid Canadian driver's licence in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during your employmentUnderstanding of safety and ergonomicsOccupational health experience Proficient in Microsoft Office and ExcelAbility to travel to other locationsAble to cover day shift and weekends as requiredMust be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaPreferred Qualifications
